MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) -- A junior high school student in Colquitt County is facing charges after allegedly bringing a pot laced pot pie to school.
According to a report from the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office, C.A. Gray Junior High School Principal Dr. Todd Cason told deputies they had gotten information that a student planned on bringing a pot pie laced with marijuana to school. Acting on the tip, Cason told deputies on February 24 he confiscated from the student a pot pie "laced with green leafy substance."
Deputies say testing showed the green leafy substance was in fact marijuana.
Two days later, the report says, the student's father called Dr. Cason saying "his son admitted to lacing the pie with marijuana."
The student is facing a charge of possession of marijuana. He has been released to the custody of his parents.
