MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The six-month vigil of monitoring nearby tropical waters is set to begin, and the WTXL ABC 27 Storm Team is ready to get you prepared for the season.
The latest in the multiple award-winning Hurricane series, the Storm Team's annual preparedness program Hurricane Season 2015: Are You Ready? will be aired Saturday night at 6:30 p.m., in place of ABC 27 News Weekend Edition.
Our team of meteorologists practice what they preach by giving you a glimpse of how they prepare their households for the season. The show will also dive into the science behind hurricane formation, and highlight the anniversary of a locally significant hurricane, applying its lessons to today.
Hurricane Season 2015: Are Your Ready? will also be streaming live on wtxl.tv and will be viewable on mobile devices.
Our Hurricane Center will be chock full of tropical weather outlooks and information during the entire season, which spans from June 1 to Nov. 30.
