EASTPOINT, Fla. (WTXL) -- Investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office say they believe skeletal remains found recently belong to those of a missing man.

Cody Diorio was first reported missing April 2, 2013. His vehicle was found near a wooded area East of Lake Morality Road in Carrabelle.

Few clues had turned up about Diorio until August 12 when Franklin County Sheriff's Office got a call about skeletal remains being found in the same area where Diorio's car had been found several months before.

Investigators say clothing items and footwear found with the skeletal remains on August 13 are consistent with items last seen on Diorio. Identification will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.

No foul play is suspected in the death.
