TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - If you watch the show Shark Tank then you're familiar with Mr. Wonderful.
He was in Tallahassee Wednesday offering his two cents on making money.
Kevin O'Leary was the featured speaker this year for the First Commerce Credit Union's Power Forward Speaker Series.
Business leaders, aspiring entrepreneurs and students in Tallahassee packed Florida State University's Ruby Diamond Hall to hear him speak.
Minutes before that, in his dressing room, he sat down with WTXL ABC Anchor Abbey Maurer for a one-on-one interview.
He said it very hard for young students to get out there and compete with people who have great experience.
"So it's my job and others who come here to speak, to try and talk a little about that," he said. "To share that with students because you have to be humble when you start. The real world is a tough place and you will learn through many hardships that will occur, but it will make you much better as time passes, and there is no replacement for experience."
The event Wednesday had the largest turnout for the series.
Past speakers in the Power Forward Speaker Series have included Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, and Barbara Corcoran, also of ABC's entrepreneurial hit, Shark Tank.
