TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two Tallahassee people were arrested after a traffic stop led deputies to finding them with meth and cocaine.

According to court documents, Leon County deputies were patrolling the area of Capital Circle SW and Balkin Road on Monday night.

While patrolling, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pick-up truck for a broken headlight.

When deputies approached the truck they immediately identified the driver and passenger as 59-year-old Ronald Cooper and 55-year-old Tammy Tindall.

Documents say deputies allowed Cooper to exit the truck to check the headlight for himself. Once Cooper got out the truck, they patted him down for weapons.

Deputies say during the pat down they discovered a meth pipe.

After the pipe was found, deputies proceeded to do a deeper search and found a plastic container with 2.6 grams of meth inside.

Deputies then searched the truck and found another meth pipe, a plastic bag of powder cocaine, and several smoking pipes.

Documents say a record check that was done earlier, came back and revealed that Tindall had an active warrant out in Wakulla for grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Deputies then searched Tindall and found several smoking pipes.

After searching both suspects, deputies spoke with Cooper. He admitted that the meth and pipe was his and that he only used it to smoke.

Deputies say when they asked Cooper about the cocaine and other pipes he responded by saying "I guess it's mine" but later claimed it belonged to a friend.

After speaking with Cooper, deputies transported Tindall to the Wakulla/Leon County line so she could be turned over to Wakulla deputies.

Documents say when Tindall exited the patrol car deputies noticed a plastic container with 5.5 grams of meth inside, near where she was sitting.

After deputies found the meth, they took back custody of Tindall.

According to documents, Cooper and Tindall were arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Cooper is being charged with cocaine possession. Tindall is being charged with drug possession along with the prior grand theft charges.

Cooper has since bonded out.
