TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Tuesday, a group of 100 students, all from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, will head to Tallahassee to meet with state legislators and join in on a variety of meetings.

Stoneman Douglas student Jaclyn Corin organized the trip and says they’ll be splitting the students up into groups of 10 so they can have a voice in every meeting.

They’re hoping to change preexisting bills, specifically those focusing on the assault rifles.

All of the students are part of the “Never Again” movement. Corin described it as “a student led movement. It shows that we are mature enough. We will come at them and do whatever it takes to change the way our state runs and the nation.”

Corin reiterated this isn’t about Republicans or Democrats, adding they want to show the truth about all politicians, while giving them a second chance to take action.
