TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – A local elementary school is taking time out to celebrate and recognize veterans for their service.
On Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Hartsfield Elementary School will honor veterans with a celebration followed by a parade.
School officials said the ceremony will begin in the Media Center where breakfast will be served for veterans, friends, and family.
Hartsfield’s award winning chorus will perform and Rickards High School Band will lead the parade throughout the school.
Hartsfield is hosting this celebration to show the students the importance and significance of Veterans Day.
