JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A grandmother and her grandson have been hospitalized at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for serious injuries after their car crashed into a tree.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Barbara Dudley, 54, of Sneads was driving her car southbound on State Road 286 (Blueberry Drive) on Thursday around 3 p.m. when they say she experienced some type of health issue.

As a result, the car swerved to the left, passed through the median and crossed over the northbound travel lanes on Blueberry Drive.

The car continued on the east shoulder before crashing into a tree head-on.

Dudley and the passenger, her 4-year-old grandson, were both taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
