(WTXL) - One South Georgia town is celebrating Christmas on Thursday evening with a parade.

WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was live Thursday morning with a behind-the-scenes look at how Cairo is taking a trip to paradise.

The floats and decor will remind you of a dream vacation because this year's theme is Christmas in Paradise.

Willams caught up with employees of United National Bank as they prepared their cruise ship float for the parade.

This is the largest Christmas parade in the city's history.

There are usually close to 80 floats, but this year, the Chamber of Commerce had to cut off entries at 108.

This is proof that the entire community joins in for the fun, meaning its also big for local businesses to highlight what they do and get more customers.

Todd Harrell, a senior lending officer with United National Bank, said that "This community also needs a little bit of joy from the recent hurricane.

The parade starts at 7 p.m. Thursday in downtown Cairo.
