Grady County firefighters convicted for stealing gas

GRADY COUNTY, GA. (WTXL) -- Two volunteer firefighters have been convicted of a felony, according to the Grady County District Attorney's Office.

Marcus Lee and Quardell Johnson were each convicted of felony theft for stealing gas from the county to use in their personal vehicles

According to the DA's office, the pair was found out after it was discovered that the county fire department gas cards were being used for unleaded fuel when the fire trucks used diesel.

Both Lee and Johnson were given 5 years probation and they will each have to reimburse the county for $3,406.00 in gas that was missing over the course of the year.
