MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Macon woman says somebody bit off one of her fingers during a fight.

A Bibb County sheriff's deputy reported a man found 44-year-old Lawonder Lynn Murry crying on a street corner Wednesday evening. The woman was yelling, "She bit my finger off!"

Murry told the deputy she had been fighting on the ground with another woman. Murry said the woman "bit off her right index finger and spit it on the ground."

The man who found Murry crying saw her finger in the road, used a towel to pick it up and put it in a cup of ice. The Telegraph of Macon reports (http://bit.ly/1AjkhpV ) a relative said Murry's finger was not reattached.

Authorities say Murry didn't know the biter's full name and no arrests have been made.
