ATLANTA (AP) - Police in Georgia are searching for a man accused in the beating death of an infant.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1kVtjmq ) reported Thursday that 26-year-old Jaquest Deeric Norris is also being sought by Florida authorities on charges of attempted murder and home invasion.

Atlanta police said Wednesday that Norris is wanted in the death of nine-month-old Monte Jones, who died Nov. 11. Authorities said investigators also found evidence of sexual assault.

Police say Jones died of blunt force trauma.

Warrants have been issued against Norris by authorities in Escambia County, Florida, in connection with an incident that took place in a home near Pensacola on Oct. 5.

Police say Norris was last seen at the same apartment in Georgia where the child was allegedly injured in his care.
