QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is investigating after alleged sexual misconduct between a Quincy Police officer and an inmate.
The Sheriff's Office says that in late June, they were given information about an alleged sexual encounter between officer Cam Brown with the Quincy Police Department.
After interviewing both the officer and the inmate, they were able to find out that they two had to different instances of inappropriate sexual conduct take place between then.
GCSO also said that they are taking a critical look at its Trustee Program, as the encounters occurred while the female inmate was working outside the jail.
The program allows inmates to be employed outside of the jail depending on how much time they've served and good behavior.
Brown is currently on leave with pay.
