BREWTON, Ala. (WTXL/AP) -- A judge increases the bond for a former Thomas County Central High School band director charged with having sex with students in south Alabama.
The bond for 32-year old Jeffery Lance Gainous is $750,000. It was at $350,000.
Gainous was working at the south Georgia high school when he was accused last week on several charges of having sex with students at T.R. Miller high school in Brewton, Alabama.
Police say the man had relations with at least eight students. Investigators say former students came forward after Gainous left Brewton in June.
