TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida TaxWatch releases a report, highlighting the need to invest in infrastructure in order to sustain the state's positive tourism growth.

The report, put together by the public policy research institute, looked at Florida's airports, seaports, and state roads to determine where investments are needed to ensure the state is a good place to live and visit.

They found that many of the transportation networks are congested, and that with an increase in visitors, the issue will need to be resolved.

According to TaxWatch, lawmakers will need to develop infrastructure so that the state will not stifle the tourism industry.

The tourism industry employs more than 1 million Floridians and creates one new job for every 85 visitors.

Florida is expected to welcome more than 100 million visitors in 2016.
