TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Today is National Voter Registration day and Florida's Secretary of State is marking the occasion by launching a new campaign.

Ken Detzner announced today the launch of the department's Get ready. Get Set. Vote! initiative.

It encourages voter participation and readiness ahead of the 2016 elections by providing key voting information at YourVoteFlorida.com. The goals of the campaign are listed below.

  • Get Ready.

It's never too early to think about voter registration! Florida's Presidential Preference Primary is on March 15, 2016 and voters have many ways to register or update their voter registration information and educate themselves on the options available to them during elections.

  • Get Set.

Get information on how to request an absentee ballot, locate early voting sites, find your polling place, or contact your local Supervisor of Elections.

  • Vote!

Floridians have several options to exercise their right to vote - by absentee, early voting, or at the polls on Election Day.
