FORT MYERS, Fla.- A new partnership between Florida Gulf Coast University and Economic Incubators will allow students to launch the next big thing.

According to The News-Press, a student or group will get $25,000 to launch a business idea. Five students will receive free internships and two additional students will get free office space.

Economic Incubators is a program designed to bring businesses to Collier County. The businesses are located inside the Naples Accelerator building.

Ron Toll, the university's provost and vice president for academic affairs, says he is hoping the school can start the program during the upcoming academic year but that many details, including how to select students, remain to be worked out.
