TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Florida A&M University is partnering up with a Kenyan Governor to bring more opportunities to the university.
Provost Marcella David signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Governor of Siaya County in Kenya.
The goal of the memorandum is to provide joint educational and research activities, and the exchange of students and scholars.
The school is also hoping it will provide increased funding opportunities for the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences from agencies such as the US Agency for International Development, the US Department of Agriculture, and other global organizations.
Siaya County is located in the Southwest part of Kenya and has a population of more than 840,000. It is one of 47 counties in the nation.
