ORLANDO, Fla. (WTXL) Florida A&M University's College of Law is celebrating a top passage rate among its students.

The college recently announced that 72.2 percent of its first time examinees passed the February 2014 Florida Bar Exam.

That passage rate outpaced five of the 11 Florida law schools, including Barry University, the University of Florida and Nova Southeastern.

FAMU's new President celebrated the university's accomplishment. “The recent Florida Bar passage rate report reflects the FAMU College of Law’s legacy of academic excellence, resilience and forward progress,” said FAMU President Elmira Mangum, Ph.D.

The FAMU College of Law has been named multiple times the "Most Diverse Law School in the Nation" by U.S. News and World Report.
