TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The family of a missing Tennessee boy believes he wanted to get to Florida, specifically Tallahassee.

In an email sent to our newsroom, the family says 15-year-old Dylan Regenold was last seen via security camera leaving Volunteer Youth Academy in Gallatin, TN at 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 14.

According to the Gallatin Police Department, Dylan pried a window open with metal, and used a bed sheet to escape from the second floor.

The family said they have reason to believe based on prior communication with friends and family that Dylan wanted to get to Florida, specifically Tallahassee.

According to the family, Dylan also has a mental illness.

The Gallatin Police Department said he has no known location other than possibly going to Franklin, TN.
