(WTXL) - Authorities are warning you to look out for counterfeit money.

Many law enforcement agencies have been responding to calls for fake $20 bills, particularly in south Georgia.

Authorities say the counterfeit bills have the word "replica" on them.

If you have received any change, especially from convenience stores, authorities recommend you check the bills for authenticity.

If you've received some of this fake money contact your local police department or the U.S. Secret Service.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury says "There is no financial remuneration for the return of the counterfeit bill, but it is doing the 'right thing' to help combat counterfeiting."
