TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency is bringing together not-for-profit organizations to learn more about receiving grant money.

WTXL ABC's Jada Williams joins was live Tuesday morning to explain how this workshop will help them put more into the community.

The workshop will help any interested not-for-profit learn the guidelines and application process to receive the 2019 Promotional/Special Event Grant Program.

That grant goes towards supporting small events in the Greater Frenchtown and Southside redevelopment districts.

There's $50,000 in that fund, with a $5,000 maximum allowance per organization that is accepted.

That money would allow for events to be hosted between October 1 of this year and September 30, 2019.

You can apply for that grant until August 17 at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday's workshop will be held on the second floor of the Frenchtown Renaissance Center.

It will start at 6 p.m. and go until 8 p.m.
