MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Several residents in Midway are upset about hundreds of people gathering at Eugene Lamb Park the past three Sundays.
It's all part of an unofficial event, organizers call "Chunky Sundays".
Neighbors claim hundreds come out to the area around three in the afternoon on Sundays and get very loud.
They're worried about the number of people who could be drinking or causing problems at the park.
However event organizers say "Chunky Sundays" are meant to bring residents of all ages together.
"We plan on doing whatever to make the event a success," explains Promoter Brandon Barnes. "That's what we, we're just trying to let them know we're here, we want to hear it, we want to make the event better. So you know we're not just hanging out, you know, we're doing stuff for the community."
Midway City Leaders plan to discuss the issue in further detail at a later date.
