VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A little girl has died after being a hit by a car in Valdosta.

Valdosta Police say it happened around 9:20 Saturday night. They say 4- year-old Khamiyah Newsome ran out in front a Pontiac Grand-Am near the intersection of Bemiss Road and Guest Road.

Newsome was taken to South Georgia Medical Center then flown to Shand's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida where she died.

No charges have been filed against the driver but the case is still under investigation.
