TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers are reporting a serious crash on I-10 westbound at the edge of Leon County near Capitola Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that the accident happened on I-10 westbound near mile marker 215, around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office said that the suspect was driving erratically on Thomasville Road earlier that day. Tallahassee Police tried to stop him but the suspect kept driving and eventually started making donuts along Thomasville Road.

They soon began to chase the suspect as they drove through parts of Killearn and Maclay before making it down to I-10 where he started driving east bound in the west bound lane.

Deputies started clearing traffic on the interstate and had a small road block to keep traffic from continuing down the interstate toward the suspect. When the suspect got to that point, he drove past the deputy.

When he reached the Jefferson County line, he made a u-turn and started heading west.

LSCO said that the suspect crashed into a citizen's vehicle. Not long after, however, deputies made a PIT maneuver which disabled the car.

Deputies attempted to take the suspect into custody where they "scuffled" and the suspect was tased.

He was taken to TMH for evaluation.

As if now, there are no reported injuries to the vehicle he crashed into.
