TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) The Tallahassee Police Department discovered a dead body after a police chase this afternoon.
TPD officers were initially conducting an arrested at the Red Roof Inn on 2930 Hospitality Road when the suspect took off on the 1500 Block of Pullen Road.
K-9 officers arrived on the scene to assist with the arrest when a dead body was discovered in the area.
According to TPD's Public Information Officer David Northway, the burglary suspect has been arrested.
Officials do not believe the two crimes are connected.
An investigation for the body is now being conducted. It is being treated as a homicide.
