TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Bond has been denied for a man charged with killing a woman whose body was found near a West Tharpe Street Apartment Complex.

Officers found 24-year-old Shannan Gordon's body Saturday morning, after someone reported seeing it near the woods at the intersection of Pecan and Willie Vause Roads.

Police say the woman died from stab wounds.

While investigating, officers say they followed the bloody trail to an apartment at the nearby Savannah Crossing Apartment Complex.

While there, they spoke with a woman in the apartment who said her brother, Leon Woodberry, was acting strange, cleaning blood from the apartment with bleach, and had gotten into a fight with someone. She and her boyfriend took him to the hospital the night before for a wound on his hand.

Police say they found women's clothing and a purse, along with a man's shirt with blood on it in the apartment complex's dumpster, as well as a knife in his kitchen that was wet from attempts to clean it.

30 year old Leon Woodberry has been arrested for premeditated murder and is currently in the Leon County Jail.
