BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - Bainbridge Public Safety is looking for the person who stole a car in Grady County and ran it into the water in Decatur County.

Investigators say they got a call a little after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 from someone who stated that there was something that looked like part of a vehicle submerged in the water across from the Mega Ramps.

Officers responded along with assistance from a boat, a diver and a tow truck. The diver, a CID investigator, located the vehicle and noted the windows were rolled down and no one was inside. Using the information off of the tag, investigators determined the vehicle was reported as stolen in Grady County.

Cairo Police and Bainbridge Public Safety are requesting that anyone who may have information as to who stole the vehicle and ran it into the water to call the Cairo Police Department at 229-378-3096 or Bainbridge Public Safety at 229-248-2038.
