Bainbridge Police Arrest Man After Finding More than $1,000 Worth of Weed in Car

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - Officers in Bainbridge said that they have arrested a man after they stopped his car and found over $1,000 worth of weed in his car. 

On Tuesday around 10:30 a.m., a Bainbridge Police officer pulled over Todd Davis Jr. who was driving near the intersection of Sims Street and Troupe Street. When they approached the car, the officer said he smelt the odor of weed coming from it.

Once they searched the car, they found a large vacuum sealed brick of weed with a street value over $1,000 as well as tub with another bag of weed in it and some clear baggies normally used to package illegal drugs. 

Police said that they tried to arrest Davis, but he resisted and ran away. Police said he only got about 20 feet away before he was knocked to the ground and handcuffed.

He was faces charges related to the possession and sale of marijuana.
