TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing a child under the age of 12 for four years is wanted by authorities.

A family's plea for the capture of a wanted man resulted in over 1,000 shares on Facebook:

Court documents show that on Jan. 10, Brad Milligan was sentenced to life in prison for three counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 years old and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation.

He was also sentenced to 15 years in prison one count of lewd or lascivious act in the presence of a child under 16 years old. That sentence will be served concurrently with the life sentence.

Milligan was out on bail pending trial back in Jan. 2017, but failed to appear for trial on January 10, 2018. Despite not being present, Milligan was sentenced and was declared a sexual predator by a circuit judge the day after.

Now, a warrant has been put out on Milligan for failure to appear.

Court documents reveal the assault started when the victim was 8 years old. Almost weekly from 2011 to 2015 when he moved out, Milligan sexually abused the victim.

The family is asking the community to spread the word about Milligan in hopes that he will be captured and justice will be served.
