TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department and the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man in connection to the Commons Apartments shooting this week that left one person dead.

Tyriq Hill, 19, was taken into custody by TPD and GCSO on Friday.

Hill has been arrested for the murder of Sharod Bryant that occurred on Sept. 11.

TPD states they found out that Hill also had active warrants for robbery out of Osceola County.

Hill is currently in the Gadsden County Jail and is being held on $2,500 bond.

He is being charged with armed robbery with a firearm, first-degree murder, and four counts of attempted first-degree murder.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police have arrested a man who crashed his car into another vehicle, injuring the driver, while fleeing from the Commons Apartments shooting on Tuesday.

Tyrone Tillman, 22, of Orlando was seen by a Tallahassee Police Department officer while driving an Audi "at a high rate of speed leaving the complex," according to a probable cause document.

The officer said he saw two males in the vehicle as it passed him and the rear window appeared to have been shot out. After relaying the information to incoming units, the officer got behind the Audi, believing it was the shooting suspects, the court document said.

While being pursued, the vehicle tried to cut through the gas station at the corner of Old Bainbridge Road and Tharpe Street to head south to Old Bainbridge Road but while cutting through the parking lot and hit an SUV, causing significant damage and injuring the driver.

Documents say the person Tillman's car hit suffered non-life threatening injuries. After hitting the vehicle, Tillman's car continued south on Old Bainbridge Road and eventually west on Volusia, the court document said.

Officers stopped Tillman's car by using a blocking maneuver in the 1000 block of Volusia Street. Then Tillman and and passenger bailed out of the Audi and ran north into the wood line.

Anticipating where the suspects were fleeing, an officer pulled into 1700 Joe Louis Street, jumped out of his cruiser with his firearm drawn, and hid next to a building to await their leaving the wood line.

Soon one suspect came out of the wood line, and two officers approached him, Tillman, telling him to "Get on the ground!"

Booked into the Leon County Detention Center on Wednesday, he remained there Thursday on a $10,000 bond.

He is charged with aggravated fleeing from police with injury or damage, hit-and-run and fail to remain at a crash involving injury, and resisting officer without violence.

Police say the homicide remains under investigation.
