TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Another Florida State University football player has been arrested. This time 19-year-old Jesus Wilson was arrested on charges of grand theft.

According to police, Wilson was pulled over while he was driving a stolen scooter in June.

Court records show that the owner of the scooter believed he had lost his keys or accidentally left them in the ignition. When he returned 3 hours later, the scooter was gone.

Police spotted Wilson on the stolen scooter about a week after is was reported stolen. Court documents show that Wilson told police the scooter belonged to a friend.

Police also said they noticed that there was heavy damage to the scooter after it was stolen.

Wilson was scheduled to show up to the police department for a photo line up, but court records show that he never made the appointment.

On July 7th police said that Wilson emailed the investigating officers and admitted that he took the scooter when he noticed that the keys were left in the ignintion. He also said he never intended to keep the scooter for as long as he did.

The scooter was valued at $1,000 and records show that the damage was valued at over $800.

Wilson was booked into the Leon County Jail Wednesday and posted bail later the same day.
