An Apartment Fire in Tallahassee Leaves Two Dead

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - An apartment fire leaves two dead in Tallahassee over the weekend.

Around 6am Sunday morning, authorities received a call about smoke coming from an apartment building in downtown Tallahassee.

Tallahassee Fire Department responded to the 2700 block of West Tharpe Street. Two bodies were found inside of the apartment, both pronounced dead on scene.

Tallahassee Police, along with the State Fire Marshall are actively investigating the incident. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to call them at 891-4200 or crime stoppers at 574-TIPS.
