TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Union workers at the Florida Capitol on Tuesday said they’re fighting for the rights of public employees.
The government employee labor union, AFSCME held what they call a "Rally for the Middle Class".
Union workers from across the state came to Tallahassee.
They're told lawmakers to stop privatization, taking money from state pensions and attacking their unions.
“We're here not for the money, we here because we care,” said Sallie Barnes, a state employee from Jacksonville. “How many do you think private sector employees would have stayed here after they didn't get a raise in 2 years? They would have been gone, but we're still here, we're still fighting."
