TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A career in the military is something many young Americans think about when deciding how they want to make a living; a recruiter from one branch joined us on Sunrise to talk about what makes them different from the rest.

Gunnery Sergeant Terrell Ford joined us for Your Career to talk about what makes bring a Marine different from the other branches of the military.

The U.S. Marine Corps has been around for 238 years; one of the unique aspects of the Corps is that it is the only branch of the military that extends a reach into land, air, and sea.

One thing Sergeant Ford thinks all new recruits should have is good character and curiosity that is leading them to want to learn more about being a Marine.

If you're interested in talking with a recruiter in our area you can call 850-574-9085 or by visiting the recruiting station at 2020-80 W. Pensacola Street. You can also check out Marines.com for even more information.
