TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Light speed is very common in the star wars universe, but is it actually possible? So far not yet; in order to travel faster than the speed of light we would need to curve space time or create a wormhole. That's where two locations at opposite ends of the spectrum are bent to a single point. But in order to curve space time we need something we don't have called "exotic matter", which defies the laws of physics we have today.

Up next, why the Death Star doesn't make sense. It's shown using laser beams blowing up an entire planet. However, a laser that powerful would produce so much heat that it would melt the space station before it could destroy anything. The movie also shows lasers converging, but the individual beams would actually pass right through each other and keep going in their own directions.

Tatooine is a harsh, hot desert planet, so would it be able to support life? The movies never show any bodies of water on the planet, an important part of making life possible. But scientists at the national air and space museum say moisture farming could be possible, which is a process that involves drawing moisture from relatively dry air. So in theory, yes, life could survive on Tatooine.
