LAKE CITY, Fla. (WTXL) - A famous Civil War Battle that took place in North Florida is attracting hundreds of re-enactors and history buffs to the Lake City area.

The Battle of Olustee Festival is an annual festival, craft show and re-enactment and this year it is taking place From Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15.

VIDEO: Cody Grey from the Blue Grey Army and Battle Re-Enactor, and Paula Vann the Columbia County Tourist Development Council Executive Director​ joined us on Midday to talk about the event.

The event will host a wide array activities fit for the entire family including arts and crafts vendors, food and entertainment, and kids area and of course the Battle of Olustee Re-Enactment.

The festival is free for all and the re-enactment is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
