TALLAHASSEE Fla. (WTXL ) -- Dirty Bird and the Flu stuck around for an encore performance on Sunrise Rocks. 

The blues, funk-fusion band is made up of "Dirty Bird" Chamberlain, Blake McDaniel O Saurus, Dabbit, Mark Grant II, and Spade.

The five Valdosta-natives have been playing music together for about two years, crediting their soulful sound to the likes of Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Charles Mingus, J-Dilla, and Wu-Tang Clan.

Dirty Bird and the Flu have several upcoming performances:

Oct. 2: Steel Magnolias in Valdosta at 7 p.m.

Oct. 3: Mulligans in Remerton at 9 p.m.

Oct. 9: Patty's Pub in St. George Island

Oct. 10: Apalachicola Brewery Station
