Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)---Well summer is here and many kids are headed outside for some fun in the sun, but experts say many parents don't realize that the sun is actually one of the biggest dangers. Dr. Winston Price from Memorial Pediatrics joined us this morning to discuss pediatric skin safety.

Dr. Price says children should limit their time outside in harsh UV exposure, and parents should ensure that their child is wearing the appropriate SPF to prevent sun burn. Over-exposure to UV rays can increase the risk of skin cancers, even in children so Dr. Price says is best that parents take proper precautions.
