MEIGS, Ga. - The City of Meigs, Georgia is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations regarding "financial transactions".

The GBI isn't giving any further details about these transactions due to the ongoing investigation.

They also declined to comment about whether the recent firing of the police chief is related to the incident.

The City of Meigs has hired Chris Luckey to be the new police chief.
