BOSTON, Ga. - Thomas County deputies say they found nearly 40 malnourished horses, all infested with parasites, on a South Georgia woman's property.

The woman, 55-year-old Rebecca Bannister is facing three counts  of animal cruelty.

Deputies, along with Animal Control officers, seized the horses along with several donkeys, calves, cows and two llamas.

Those animals are now being held by Dancing Cloud Horse Rescue and the Georgia Equine rescue league.
