MADISON CO., Fla. - A traffic stop has ends with a Tallahassee suspect being arrested for crack cocaine, according to Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart.
Stewart reports that on February 7 at around 1:07 a.m., agents with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a faulty equipment violation.
Charles Lamar Kendrick was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 before the stop.
While officers were performing the stop, they detected signs of possible criminal activity.
Agents deployed canine “Dare” and a positive alert for the presence of narcotic odor was indicated. Agents conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a black bag under the front passenger seat.
Agents say the black bag contained powder and crack cocaine.
Charles Lamar Kendrick, 40, of Tallahassee Florida was arrested and charged with the following:
1.Possession of cocaine
2.Possession of crack cocaine
At the time of this arrest Kendrick was currently on Federal Probation for narcotic offenses.
