TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - We're coming up on the mid-point of Florida’s legislative session, and lawmakers still have a lot of work to do.
Both the House and Senate have passed redistricting maps.
Lawmakers every ten years have to craft new political boundaries in the state.
But the Senate still hasn't begun work on the budget for next year.
The House is expected to take up its 69 billion dollar budget proposal this upcoming week.
There are other differences between the two chambers.
The House has indicated it wants to ban internet cafes, while the Senate would rather regulate them.
Both chambers have differing bills dealing with auto insurance fraud, that's costing the state 900 million dollars a year.
