The Whale of a Sale, Junior League of Tallahassee’s (JLT) largest fundraiser since 1974, features gently used merchandise at low prices. The 2012 Whale of a Sale will take place on Thursday, February 9, Friday February 10 and Saturday February 11, at the Tallahassee Mall (the former Goody’s location).

All proceeds from the Whale of a Sale flow back into the community through Junior League projects that benefit children and families in Tallahassee.

The Whale is not only a fundraiser for the Junior League’s projects, but it also gives community members the opportunity to buy things that they need; things that they otherwise may have to do without. Each year, they attract approximately 500 people to the Preview Party event held on Thursday evening, 500 people at the Primetime Shopping,  and approximately 3,000 to the Saturday sale. All items not sold are donated to local charities.

Let the Junior League take you to a land of food and sweets on Thursday, February 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Whale of a Sale preview party, “Tally Land.” Enjoy live music by Tobacco Road, local food specialties, desserts, games and “Tally Land” themed drinks.  Bid on items from both the Silent and live Auction. Your ticket purchase is a 
donation to the Junior League of Tallahassee, a non-profit organization.
For just $35 individual/$60 couple before February 9 and
$40 individual/$70 couple at the door.  There will be Primetime shopping available Friday, February 10 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for only $5 admission, and on Saturday, February 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. for only $1 admission.
