FAMU to host "A Tribute to African-American Films"
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - FAMU, The Tallahassee Film Festival and Tallahassee Film Society will host "A Tribute to African-American Films" forum of events throughout February.
The first event begins on January 3. There will be a screening of the film Dare Not Walk Alone (2009). Opening Remarks will be given by by Tom Roche, the editor of the film.
The tribute does not end there. The month-long forum has several scheduled events—including film screenings, social events, informative lectures and career development opportunities.
The events are not only in honor of Black History Month, but also in celebration of FAMU's 125th anniversary.
