LAKE CITY, FL. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol announces its inaugural "Stuff the Charger" holiday food drive. In an effort to help area families, FHP is asking the public and local businesses to help with food donations. The canned food drive will kick off Monday, October 20th, 2014 through Wednesday, November 5th, 2014. FHP's goal is to collect as much food as possible, stuff into a Dodge Charger and deliver it to local food banks and charities.
Donations will be accepted at the Lake City, Cross City, Gainesville and Ocala FHP stations during business hours.
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education and enforcement.
