TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Looking for a fun and local event for the whole family to enjoy? Look no further.  For the next two days, Thomasville's Victorian Christmas will be live and in full effect.

The 28th Annual Victorian Christmas Festival helps local residents celebrate the holiday season.  Those who attend the event will enjoy holiday shopping, a live nativity, carriage rides, Christmas carol sing-a-longs, marshmallow toasting and chestnut roasting, food and a special appearance by the man himself. . . Santa!

One of the most memorable things about the festival is the fact that attendees take a trip back in history as they dress up in clothes from the Victorian era.

Felicia Brannen, Manager of Events for the City of Thomasville, stopped by WTXL Midday to tell Jade Bulecza a little bit more about the event.

"We've actually redone our entertainment area," said Brannen. "We'll actually have some new things happening down there. We will also have in the center of Broad and Jackson, the intersection there, both nights we will be having a show there."

The 28th Annual Victorian Christmas Festival will take place Thursday, December 11th and Friday, December 12th in Downtown Thomasville, Ga. The event begins at 6 p.m. each night and will last until 9 p.m.
