TALLAHASSEE, FL- Now that students are back in school, they may be looking for opportunities to get involved in the community.

Benefits to volunteering:

Students can qualify for Bright Future Scholarships which require certain amount of hours.

Volunteering also can make student feel more connected to their communties.

Students often perform better in schools and are less likely to engage in risky behavior.

According to a study, students who performed voluntary community service were 19 percent more likely to graduate from college than those who did not.
