TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Kind Campaign Club is starting the new year off on a positive note.

This non-profit is for girls ages 6 to 13, and focuses on anti-bullying and empowering these young girls to help them grow into strong women, "who are kind and compassionate."

The group meets once a month and also works on other community service projects.

For January, the meeting focus is on cyber bullying and Internet safety.

The goal is teaching young girls why this issue should stop, and making parents aware of what's going on and how they can help.

The Kind Campaign Club's next meeting is Tuesday, January 12 at the SouthWood Community Center (4675 Grove Park Drive). The meeting is from 6:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. for girls aged 6 to 10, and 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for girls 11 through 16.

Free meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at the same time and location.
