Tallahassee - Gadsden County Judge Kathy Garner spoke to a packed house of community leaders and students to celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

She was the keynote speak for the annual NAACP Martin Luther King Breakfast at the Civic Center.

"Last year, there was so much talk about Stand Your Ground. Let me tell this, I want you to stand your ground.", she said.

"When it comes to alcohol, stand your ground. When it comes to weed or a join or a blunt. Stand your ground. You don't have to do any of those things."

Judge Garner sat down for an exclusive interview with ABC 27 Anchor Rahman Johnson.

She said that she is a product of Dr. King's legacy.

Her remarks focused squarely  on the students who were there.

"Remeber, Judge Garner loves each and every one of you", she said.

The Leon County Schools honored students from across the district who had shown leadership through out the year.
